XMILE Swedish Rock Music Live

A "real band" as Rickard use to say. That is; no programmed backgrounds, everything is "for real". Xmile has nothing to do with XML, it's just the name "Smile" modified. It appeared that the name Smile was already taken, so we just crossmarked the S on our backdrop. Efter getting approval from the audience we decided to keep it like that. Suddenly we had a new name and this was even before XML was wide spread... :D The songlist is spanning over a lot of genres, but with the focus on rock. That's where we all have our roots, I guess. We have also set up two Wmile Journey concerts with guest artists at the big stage at Borås City Theatre and we were also involved in arranging the Asia Festival some year ago. We actually have them all on DVD. Anyway, I guess you could say that Xmile is a genuine live band. What's better than a live gig anyway? :D

It's been a long time

But we're still here...
Hm... when I go to this page it feels like it has been in the freezer for a while... not too meny news lately... :D I guess that it's because we've been a little inactive lately, for several reasons. Staffan is booked up a lot doing live music on his own and it's been tough to get time enough for he band. I've been working on my own songs as a side project and Jake and Rickard has been involved in sideprojects too. Anyway, we're alive and kicking. We'll start some new projects fhiss fall and it well be seen here too.

Will be back after next New Year.
As you already might have discovered during our last gigs, we're now playing without Lena. She has decided to take some time off Xmile and will probably be back after next New Year. Meanwhile we're running the band as usual, but now with Staffan sharing the front job with me.

Crowded at the Brasserie!

Good vibes!
The gig last Saturday was super! It's great having Staffan back again! Suddenly the keyboard fills and ambient sound walls were back again. The Braserie was crowded, hardly no air left to breath, but who cares. anyway, I'm looking forward to the next gig.

Rumours

Who started the rumour
I heard some rumours last week end that we were about to split up. They were there for our "last" gig... That was more than I knew about... :D I have no idea where these rumours come from, but I have to tell you they're just not true. We've no plans to quit as it appears today, so we hope to see you all guys on the next gig. :D
